Farmer Palmer's Attractions

Our attractions are designed specifically for children 8 yrs and under! We have plenty for your little ones to do, from interactive soft play for tiny tots to racing on the pedal go-karts! There is a full timetable of fun 'hands-on' events in the Animal Barn. We have an event running every half hour,  along with our tractor trailer rides, woodland walk, straw mountain, pedal tractors, and bouncy castles; add to this fresh air and exercise - we aim to send your children home tired and happy.

DAILY TIMETABLE - Please see our Timetable of Events Page on Times & Prices Tab

Milking Demonstrations

Woodland Walk

This tranquil walk takes you round part of an old Victorian duck pond, through what is now wet woodland.

White posts guide you across the field to the first bridge near the Willow trees and Bog Alders. The paths then go along the side of the Sherford River (a small river that once fed the duck pond) and into the driest parts of the woods. The ivy covered brickwork and old drainage channels form part of a 17th Century water storage system used by a local flax mill at that time.

Plant highlights include Harts Tongue Ferns, Buckler & Polybody Ferns. With Tussock Sedge and Yellow Flag Iris enjoying the damp conditions. Also look out for Mallard Duck, Grey Wagtail and other small birds.

Please note: The Woodland Walk is not designed for baby buggies, though some have managed in dry summer weather. Pushchairs may be left in the pram park in the Play Barn (at owners risk).

Bouncy Castles
We have not just one...but 2 bouncy castles! Our indoor Farm Bouncy Castle is perfect for those new to bouncing, and kids will love our outdoor Cow Castle too!

Whatever the weather one will always be up. (NB the outside castle will be deflated in high winds or wet weather for health & safety reasons) .

Please note: We request children remove their shoes before playing on the castles and parental supervision is required.

Water Play
New for 2010 outside interactive waterplay fun Let the children pump the water and watch it flow. There are also interactive buttons which will have them screaming with delight as they press and run into the shower to follow. The sand and water could almost be as much fun as the beach!
Outside Sand Play

Climbing, Swings and See Saws...

Let off steam with traditional childrens play equipment. Climbing, swinging, sliding, springing and more climbing.

Wendy House Area
Upgraded in 2009 Child size little wooden houses with simple fittings. Let imaginations run as children invite their "friends" around for tea or just do a little sweeping up as mummy does. Photo to follow
Maize Maze

Our maize maze is planted in April ready for the summer. Play hide and seek and see if you can get to the middle, through the tunnel or climb the mound!

The maize is corn on the cob for cows to eat.

Please note: It is not for human consumption.
