Welcome to Farmer Palmer’s Early November Update 2020

Sometimes you just need to sit down, reflect & eat ice-cream!

We’re very sorry but in line with the Government Guidelines, the Farm Park is now temporarily closed until lockdown is lifted.

Last time it was a rollercoaster, emotionally and incredibly hard work. From this, we have learnt so much. This time we are prepared, will apply our learning and try to look forward to the future.

Once again, we apologies for any inconvenience but please know that although these challenges are tough, we are even tougher and have everything in place to re-open, all be it December or beyond!

We’re doing everything we can in the hope that C-19 won’t crush our Christmas dreams

Halloween Family Fun at Farmer Palmer's 2020

Fang-tastic Feedback from Halloween Half Term

“We have just visited over half term and had the best day out. Three happy smiling children and 2 happy adults. The spooky tractor ride is a must! Ours loved it so much they begged to go on again! And yet again the staff could not be more helpful. Thank you Farmer Palmers for being so fantastic! We can’t wait to come back” TripAdvisor

“Wonderful afternoon and our boys 2 & 4 loved it. The spooky tractor ride was the highlight of our trip and the staff were amazing. ” TripAdvisor

“What a lovely day was had even in the rain. There was plenty to do and see. Such a laugh was had on the tractor ride with the water pistols and the monsters. Halloween addition. What a fun idea. Your staff are great fun and deserve a special mention for this event. It was simple yet I had such fun and I’m an adult (well sometimes) I should mention that my son loved it too.” Google Review

“We had an amazing time at the farm today! The Halloween tractor ride was fantastic and the decorations in the café are brilliant too! All round a fantastic place for everyone!” Facebook Review

You can still support us even if we’re closed!

Unfortunately, even if the farm park is closed, we still have bills to pay . . .

So, if you’d like to continue to support us during the lockdown, we’d be over the moooon if you bought some of our Flexi Gift Cards for your family and friends as Christmas Gifts.

You can easily buy these online, from home, and we’ll pop them in the post to you.

Find out how to buy Flexi Gift Vouchers for Farmer Palmer’s!

We are currently investing in a NEW system to help us tackle vouchers in 2021. There’s a lot of work going on behind the scenes, creating a brand new system to handle both Annual Pass Reservations and Day Ticket Bookings all in one place. We had very little preparation time to move across to online ticketing in 2020 but now it’s working (you know us!) we want to make it even slicker! We will update you in due course.

Farmer Christmas Experience 2020: An Update

We’ve got all our fingers, toes and trotters crossed that we’ll still be able to bring you our planned Farmer Christmas Experience in 2020.
BUT we haven’t released any tickets yet . . . we are waiting to see what happens with the lockdown restrictions.
We don’t want to sell you something that may not happen, we feel it’s much more important that your money stays in your pocket during these uncertain times.
We are reviewing the situation day by day, week by week. Rest assured, as soon as we know we can absolutely deliver on our promise of a farm-tastic, festive, Farmer Christmas Experience we will let you know!
Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

A Highways Success Story

I recently contacted the Highways Association regarding the road markings being worn out on the busy bend at the entrance to our driveway.

I received a response from the Highways Officer! Yay! They have informed me that they have now got the authority to refresh the centre lines on the bend, within 28 days.

Success!

Outdoor Cinema – An Update

Sadly the Drive-In Theatre company has had to cancel showtimes between 5th November and 2nd December due to the lockdown.

If you need to contact the organisers for any reason please click here, we do not manage the cinema bookings. This closure is a big blow to them too. We know they will look after you.

They have a permit to show films until the end of next summer so worry not, to coin a popular film phrase they said: “I’ll be back!”

We’ll keep you updated.

Dan the Gardener from Beeutiful Gardens at Farmer Palmer's

Naked Plant Sales

Have you met “Dan the Gardener” at Farmer Palmer’s?

Dan is responsible for all the beautiful borders and plant displays around the farm park. He has his own company called “Beeutiful Gardens” and specialises in creating gardens that support our VERY important pollinators; particularly the bees and butterflies.

Dan is hoping to sell some naked, bare root perennials this Winter.

Bare root perennials don’t look like much when you first see them, but my goodness your garden will look glorious when they come into bloom! They’re naked because they don’t come with compost, or a pot, just their bare-root, naked selves!

If you’re interested in bare-root plant sales or would like to find out more about Dan’s gardening services, click the button below to check out his Facebook Page

Annual Pass for Farmer Palmer's Farm Park Dorset

Annual Pass Holder Reminder: We are unable to extend your memberships due to lockdown

Following the first lockdown, 3 of us spent 2 weeks giving 5800 pass holders lost time back. To ensure the survival of the business, we simply cannot do that again this Winter. We apologise for any inconvenience.

*Annual Pass Clause: 6. Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park is continually replacing and improving equipment, attractions, facilities, and introducing new ones. In line with this, we reserve the right to withdraw any attraction or to close part of/the entire Park at any time, without prior notice or compensation. Should we be forced to close due to circumstances beyond our control, we regret memberships cannot be extended or refunded.

Final Thoughts

Well, we can definitely say the ground feels as though it has been constantly moving under our feet.

Difficult decisions are not always popular but rest assured the scales are always balanced with you in mind and we learn something new every day.

There has been the loss of Honeybrook, and redundancies at the Swanage Railway. We are keeping all of our current team, 48 of us, and we will always remember you have a choice to visit us, and we will do whatever we need to ensure our business continues through the winter and is here for you, bringing The World Of Dinosaur Roar (Yes finally!) and so much more.

Thanking you for your support

Sandra, Phillip and the team of 2021.
