May 2021 Update from Farmer Palmer’s

By May 27, 2021August 1st, 2022No Comments

We’ve finally got something to ROAR about!

Welcome to the May 2021 update from Farmer Palmer’s!

After the delays, we are finally able to open up part of The World of Dinosaur Roar Discovery Trail. Some dinosaurs are here for the start of half term, the others are catching up in the week.

3 on Saturday, then the other 3 during the week.

Yes, we will be holding back on some of the experience until Stage 2, but we felt it was more important to get the Trail open for half term than wait any longer!!

What will you see in Stage 1?

  • All children and young at heart will be able to meet some of the dinosaurs during Half Term on our Woodland Walk!
  • Fantastic educational signage to help parents engage with children (without getting tongue-tied with the pronunciations of their names!)
  • New books and Toys to support creative, imaginative learning at home.
  • Photo opportunities around the site. Don’t forget to share on your socials #ROARTRAIL

What will you see in Stage 2?

This will open in line with the next phase of the Government Road Map, anticipated 21st June.
Missing Munch will be reunited with his tummy! (the creators are waiting on a delivery to build this section) as he’s the dinosaur who is always hungry, that’s ironic really!

  • Our Roar Rangers will be on hand to deliver stories and enhance your visit
  • Fun Squeak Puppet will be with the Ranger to entertain
  • Palaeontology Tent with games and activities
  • Kids Activity Packs, a must to take onto the walk and fill in on the way round.

What will you see in Stage 3?

Anticipated 1st September

Educational information, downloads and curriculum gems for Schools, ready for our guided school tours, ideal for pre-schoolers.

There is NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE to visit the World of Dinosaur Roar Trail – it’s all included in your admission ticket!

We’re Number 1!

Farmer Palmer’s has taken the number 1 spot of the BEST Toddler-Friendly Days Out in the UK according to Kiddie Holidays and we couldn’t be happier!
It’s so heartwarming to be recognised as a baaarilliant day out for tots!
If you’re looking for some inspiration for toddler days out, check out the other 18 suggestions in Jo’s article.

Will There Be Lots of Animals and What’s Open?

Yes, we have all of your favourites here and goat feeding, pig racing, and guinea pig handling. The deer feeding Experience is proving so popular as is the tractor ride.

See What is open.

Are there undercover areas if it is raining?

Yes, we have lots to do out of the rain. The Little Farmers Barn and Indoor Soft Play will be open for half term. We will man the doors and ensure there are not too many people in there for the calculated capacity.

Is the Restaurant Selling Food?

From Breakfast to Lunch, Tea and all the treats, cakes, ice-creams in between. No need for a picnic, our reasonably priced food will keep everyone re-fuelled.

Take a wander around the shop on your next visit. We have lots of new lines this year (and your old favourites too, of course, cuddly guinea pigs and tractor toys will always be a winner with your little VIPs!).
