Hen House Restaurant at Farmer Palmer's Dorset

5 Stars for the Hen House Hygiene

Huge congratulations to our wonderful catering team!

They’ve received a FABULOUS Five Star Rating following their recent EHO inspection. We never expected anything less, and we’re so proud of them for maintaining their excellent standards.

Natasha’s Law

All the food in the Hen House is now labelled in accordance with Natasha’s Law. We fully embrace these additional requirements and we’re very proud of our team for getting organised and implementing them so quickly.

“The parents of a teenager who died after an allergic reaction to a Pret a Manger baguette have welcomed the introduction of a new food safety law. The rules – known as “Natasha’s Law” – require full ingredient and allergen labelling on all food made on premises and pre-packed for direct sale.” BBC

Close up of female deer face through fence at Farmer Palmer's

Can We Have Some Privacy Please?

Have you hand-fed the deer at Farmer Palmer’s?

It’s the most wonderful experience getting up close to these beautiful, fascinating creatures.

Did you know each year the males ‘challenge’ each other for mating access to the females? This is called the ‘Rut’ and it’s a particularly important behavioural stage in deer life cycles. The stag will temporarily stop eating as much too, because he only has one thing on his mind!

This is why we postpone the deer feeding experience during this time so they can get on and do their ‘thing’, sorting out their hierarchy. Our hand feeding deer experience will start again in Spring 2022.

Farmer Palmer's Outdoor Cow Bouncy Castle for Family Fun in Dorset

What goes up, must come down! And then back up again!

The cow bouncy castle will be coming down after October Half Term.

This bouncy castle is going to be repurposed by the company who are creating our new one! What a great bit of recycling!

The NEW bouncy castle cow will be going up ready for Feb Half Term for even more bounce-around fun at Farmer Palmer’s!

Why pre-booking is still essential

As we head towards our Magical Christmas Experience days, the demand for tickets/spaces is going to increase, therefore we urge you to ensure you book in advance online.

We appreciate other attractions may be running differently, but we will still have daily capacity limits in place for everyone’s safety and comfort this Autumn/Winter. The pandemic is still with us so please do not risk turning up without a pre-booked ticket/reservation. When we reach full capacity we will have no other choice than to turn people away and we really don’t want to be in that position. Only families that have pre-booked / reserved a space are guaranteed entry.

There is also now an additional £3 on top of admission for those who have not reserved spaces – don’t waste money unnecessarily, pre-book! We’ve invested in our WiFi in the shop so we will be enforcing online bookings if needed.

Our team works so hard to make a day at Farmer Palmer’s run smoothly. They are all committed to your experience, please help us to help you.

Mondays and Tuesdays November 2021: Farm Park CLOSED

The farm park will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays in November and the first week of December, don’t worry – behind the scenes our fabulous Elves will be creating something magical!

Q: Why are you closing on Mondays and Tuesdays?

A: November’s Monday and Tuesday are historically the quietest, our financials show being open for 50 people on some days results in a big loss month for the business. We are consolidating down to a 5 day week (Weds – Sun). November is historically our least popular month.

Christmas preparations will be in full swing and so we are supporting our team with a clear two day break following the weekend, to help rejuvenate them between Halloween and Christmas.

Don’t forget – after just 5 entries in a whole year your pass has paid for itself, so there are plenty more opportunities to visit. Fortunately, we will be opening longer hours in 2022 to balance lost time, and Mondays and Tuesdays opening will resume from Feb Half Term 2022.
