Hen House Restaurant

With delicious food and great facilities, our restaurant is here to help you re-fuel! We pride ourselves on exceeding your expectations of a café. We’re completely focused on what you need in a children’s dining area. The Hen House Restaurant has seating for over 100 people and there are extra rooms available under the soft play zone and party area. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and dairy free options available, please just ask a member of the team for details.

Animal Activities

Our Animal feeding activities take place in the BIG barn (which can be found behind the outdoor bouncy castle). Come and meet the animals! Our friendly and knowledgeable team hold excellent entertaining and educational demonstrations throughout the day, check the daily timetable when you arrive. Always remember to watch your hands after touching animals.

Soft Play Zone

Energy-burning fun, whatever the weather! Children can play hide and seek, climb platforms, swing, crawl, and whoosh down slides! The large indoor soft play area is a family favourite!

Little Farmers Fun Barn

A firm favourite with little ones! Our timber farmyard opens up a new world of imaginative play! Children can play house in the Farmer’s cottage, get creative with building blocks, explore the sensory tunnel and whoosh down the spiral slide.

The World Of Dinosaur Roar! Discovery Trail

The Dinosaurs have arrived on our beautiful woodland, near the old Victorian duck pond and weir. Take a virtual stroll. Learn more here.

Bumpy Tractor-Trailer Ride

The bouncy tractor-trailer ride runs at various times throughout the day so please check the daily timetable on arrival. Please queue near the duck pond. There’s a £1 charge for tractor-trailer rides per person (this is to be paid in cash to the driver, change can be obtained from a till point). The Deer Feeding Experience also runs from this area, £2 per person and includes deer feed (please check the timetable for when this event is running). Important: The tractor rides may not be suitable for pregnant women or people with back/joint problems.

Pedal Tractors

An opportunity for role play for your ‘Little Farmer’s in Training!’. Let them pedal off some excess energy driving their very own mini tractor! This area is partially undercover so can be enjoyed even in wet weather.

Pedal Go-Karts

Farmer Palmer’s go-karts are great fun for both children and grown-ups! Get pedalling around the track for some active fun on the farm. Please take care whilst using the go-karts – they are not bumper cars. Adult supervision is always needed. On busy days please be kind enough to swap over after a complete loop of the track so others can have fun too.

Sand and Water Play Area

All you need for outside interactive water play fun! Children will love pumping the water and watching it flow. Press the water jet buttons for squeals of delight as little ones run in and out of the sprinklers! Don’t forget to bring a towel!

Sand Playground

Sliding, springing, swinging and colourful climbing frames! Farmer Palmer’s Sand Playground holds so many opportunities for adventure and activity. Climb the wooden stairs, whoosh down the slides, sit on the wooden farm animals or try out the big basket swing! Lots of fun for little ones.

Wendy House Area

Adorable child-size wooden houses with simple fittings. The Wendy House Village gives children another great opportunity to let their imaginations run free. They can even ‘invite their friends round for tea’!

Inside Bouncy Castle

There is always the option to have bounce-around fun at Farmer Palmer’s! The indoor bouncy castle will be inflated every day, please remember children need to remove their shoes before bouncing. Adult supervision is required at all times.

Outside Bouncy Castle

When the weather outdoors is fine, Farmer Palmer’s BIG outdoor bouncy castle will be ready and waiting for children to kick off their shoes and climb aboard for bouncy boingy fun! Adult supervision is required at all times. Please note; the outdoor bouncy castle will not be inflated in high winds, wet weather or high heat for health and safety reasons.

Outside Animal Pens

Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park has lots of adorable resident animals who live outside and are waiting to meet you. They are cared for by our dedicated Animal Barn Team. Come and say hello to the perky pigs, radiant rheas, gorgeous goats, gaggling geese, and many mooooo-re! Please do not feed our animals, they have a well-managed diet and human food can upset their stomachs. Always remember to wash your hands and use the hand sanitising stations after touching the animals.

Trim Trail

Little adventurers can test out their balance on this fun outdoor obstacle course! All made from recycled plastic which is fantastic! A wonderful outdoor activity that allows children to explore their strengths, balance, and even give them confidence in developing their abilities.

Duck Pond

Duck, duck, quack, quack! Farmer Palmer’s Duck Pond is home to a variety of duck and water fowl species. They love to splash around and show off! Almost all varieties of domestic duck are descended from the mallard, except the Muscovy duck. Watch the ducks waddle in the mud and swim on the pond.

Picnic Areas

There are over 50 picnic tables dotted around the outdoor areas of the farm park, with multiple rubbish/recycling stations. Please put all of your rubbish in the bins provided. You are welcome to bring a picnic to eat outside but kindly please support our restaurant too. We produce delicious, reasonably priced, homemade meals to save you the effort of bringing your own lunch. We even serve breakfast too! Always wash hands before eating.

Straw Mountain

Stacks of straw bales, and super slides keep little ones entertained! This undercover barn gives lots of opportunities for children to climb, crawl, and whoosh! There are small slides, and big slides, low bales and high bales – a whole world of straw to explore! See the beautiful hand-painted mural backdrop by a local artist.

Pig Racing ‘Summer Activity’

Watching the piggies racing is such fun! Encourage them to run by cheering for your winner! Will it be ‘Racing Rosie’, ‘Greedy Gary’, ‘Dizzy Daisy’, ‘Burping Bertie’, or ‘Percy Plodder’ who wins the race? Our pigs don’t like to run in the rain or warm weather so please check the daily timetable to see if this event is running. Sometimes the Animal Barn Team run an alternative ‘Trotter Time’ activity where you can meet and tickle the pigs.

Summer Maize Maze

We’re resting the ground in the maize for 2022 but we have another exciting experience for you! Look out for the sunflower meadow! When open, our maize maze is planted in April ready for the Summer (Aug-Oct), play hide and seek and see if you can find the middle!
