We have a rare opportunity to offer a vacancy for an Animal Care & Team Activity Member in Poole, Dorset.

This position has only become available as a valued team member is moving on to the next stage of their career. We wish them the best of luck.

Job Title: Animal Care & Team Activity Member – Farmer Palmers Farm Park (Part Time)

Hours: 2 days per week. Must include one weekend day.

Rate of pay: To be discussed in light of experience and qualifications.

Hours: Between 8.00 am – 3.30 pm – 5.30 pm (in Summer), depending on the season. No split shifts.

Closing date:  Tuesday, 31st March 2026

We are looking for a dedicated, hands-on Animal Care & Team Activity Member to join our team. This is a varied role where you will split your time between:

  • Animal Care & Husbandry – looking after the well-being of a wide range of species, ensuring high standards of welfare, feeding, cleaning, and interactive demonstrations.
  • Customer Interaction – supporting visitors, providing memorable experiences, maintaining public safety, and confidently speaking to the public, including small children during demonstrations.

You’ll need a keen eye for detail, practical judgement, and a genuine passion for animals. Tractor driving experience is a bonus!

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Level 2 Animal Care qualification (required to apply).
  • Current practical experience in animal care and husbandry.
