Pigs and Piglets

We currently have some Oxford Sandy Blacks and our resident Kune Kune pig at Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park. We have some adorable piglets who you will be able to see in Half Term. With lots tlc and great food they will become our pig racing pigs this summer. Come and long and see who wins!

We ensure our pigs have shelter and bedding in winter because pigs do not like being muddy or dirty.

Mud and water has an important job to regulate their body temperature in hot summer months. The roll around and they cover themselves in cool mud & water to regulate their body temperature – because pigs cannot sweat!

Pigs are smarter than dogs and have excellent memories.

Powerful noses defines a pig, to seek out truffles underground.
